The event was a brand new regional skills event with ‘hands on’ demonstrations from a variety of organisations hosting over 50 interactive stands. Organisations present on the day included the Army, Aker Kvaerner Engineering and the AA Driving School amongst others.

Students were given the opportunity to talk to people from different occupations and gain advice on future career opportunities. Stephanie Mawson from 10R entered a word search competition ran by Aker Kvaerner and was successful in winning an IPod Nano for herself and £250 for the school’s Science department.
