Ofsted Monitoring Inspection April 2010

We had an unannounced ‘no notice’ monitoring inspection straight after Easter on April 20th. Apparently we were randomly selected.

Everything went very well indeed, especially considering that we still had staff stranded abroad!

There is a very strong section in the report on teaching and learning: ‘staff and student morale is high’; teaching is ‘good with outstanding features’; high ability students are ‘well challenged’ and sustain ‘excellent concentration’. The inspectors saw ‘a buzz of enthusiasm which pervaded the classrooms’.

These comments are a credit to staff and students, especially at a time of uncertainty about the future.
