'The Gruffalo' at Saltwell Park

On Wednesday 14th July Mrs Heer and six year 9 students (Katie Fannin,
Laura Webber, Laura Ramsey, Amie Lind, Danielle Nesbitt and Emily Hopps)
went to Saltwell Park for the day to read 'The Gruffalo' in French to
four Primary Schools.

The event was organised by Gateshead Council's Raising Achievement Service
in conjunction with Gateshead Libraries and Parks. The aim was to celebrate
stories from different cultures by 'bringing language learning and literacy together'.
We had a fantastic day reading in French and acting out scenes as well as
organising games for the primary children. Laura Webber made the most amazing
animal masks and she has now been asked to make a set for each
Primary/Secondary Cluster in Gateshead! C'etait vraiment un super jour!
